Someday I may post the tale of how a few years ago, I reached an embarrassingly cheesy and unsophisticated conclusion. For now, I’ll skip the epic and just say it: the Magic at the root of possibility is Love. You’ve either learned this through your life’s experiences or you haven’t. Once you have, it changes everything:
-your intentions for what you do,
-how you interact and connect with others,
-your level of concern for how others perceive you,
-and how you spend the time you have.
I reached this conclusion awhile back, and yet it has become even more personal recently. I began to realize that I could either begin to move more deeply into commitment with a woman that I love very much or that I would eventually lose her if I didn’t. All the Freedom bells that usually ring loudly in my head began to give way to sadness at such a loss. In such sadness, my heart began to open once again in areas I had forgotten about, and my courage has been quickened. My life has become enriched even further by stepping onto this new (old?) path.
This journey is terrifying and beautiful and I am in for all of it.
